NHR 9430-48 Regenerative 4-Quadrant AC Load
Designed for specialized testing purposes, the NHR 9430-48 is a high-tech regenerative 4-quadrant AC load. In single, split, or three-phase configurations, this high-performance load can operate with input voltages between 10 and 175 VRMS in low range and 350 VRMS in high range. It can also handle frequencies between 30 and 880 Hz. The device has the ability to manage current restrictions of up to 24A in single-phase mode and 120A in three-phase mode. Its maximum current capacities are 72A and 360A, respectively. Also, depending on the phase arrangement, the unit provides power restrictions of up to 48kW.
The NHR 9430-48 can operate with input voltages ranging from 10 to 200 VDC and 400 VDC for DC loading. Its current limitations are set between 0 and 72A and 360A, and its power limits are up to 48kW. With a power factor of more than 99% and an efficiency of 92% at 480V input, this load is exceptionally efficient. It is air-cooled and intended to run at up to 35°C ambient temperature, with a power derating range of 35°C to 50°C.
Because of its bi-directional functioning, which involves returning electricity to the mains instead of releasing it as heat, the NHR 9430-48 may imitate reactive electrical power flows. It is perfect for testing UPS systems, AC sources, inverters, rectifiers, switches, circuit breakers, and fuses since it enables precise simulation of inductive or capacitive loads.
Its HIVAR® design, which permits testing high reactive loads without distorting the true power, is one of the load's primary characteristics. Reactive power tests with up to 2.6 times the true power are supported by this design. The NHR 9430-48 also allows for flexible load simulations with its many emulation modes, which include Constant Current, Constant Resistance, Constant Power, Constant Apparent Power, and Constant RL.
